Why so silly, district?

Just a two second rant: we ended school on May 24th. As of today, June 14th, we still do not have an official calendar for next year, which means that WE STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT DAY WE GO BACK TO SCHOOL. We also don’t have a superintendent. These two things may be related.

In contrast, the schools in my parents’ town are still in session until the end of June, but they have had an official 2013-14 calendar up for weeks.

I realize this is a symptom of the problem, not anything earth-shattering or revolutionary. But it’s still frustrating. Silly district.

Yikes. My district has problems and my school has even more problems than my general district but I suppose I should be grateful that I’ve had next year’s calendar for several months already.

I hope it gets sorted out soon for you sake AND the kids and families you teach.
